Mabton Community Park: The newest park in Mabton was created out of a true partnership that included multiple agencies led by Catholic Charities Housing Services Diocese of Yakima. The 1.5-acre park includes a youth soccer field, picnic pads, tetherball courts, volleyball court and a concrete slab for a future skate park. Additional improvements are planned, including a pathway, picnic shelters, and water feature.
7th Street Reconstruction and School Safety Improvements: In 2011 the City received a Transportation Improvement Board grant for $583,351. The project include reconstruction of the existing roadway to include two lanes, one parking lane, and curb and gutter on one side of the roadway, with a swale on the other side of the roadway. Sidewalks constructed on both sides of the roadway. The project also included storm drainage system. Project was completed in 2012.
Road overlay: This project consists of a 2 inch overlay and base stabilization of the following segments: 3rd Avenue - Monroe Street to Washington Street 4th Avenue - Monroe Street to Washington Street 5th Avenue - Monroe Street to Washington Street.
